Borrowed Blueprint: Steps of Service

1. Send Desired Products

Simply send us the product details- images, links, materials, any customizations needed, etc. We will source the exact item (or a high-quality alternative) from our trusted overseas manufacturers. We can source nearly any building material or furniture item- from lighting to flooring and everything in between, we know who to talk to to get the ball rolling.

2. Source & Communication

Finding the right manufacturer is about more than just pricing - it’s about aligning with skilled partners who understand quality and design intent. We vet factories based on their expertise, production capabilities, past work, and reputation for reliability. Whether it’s furniture, lighting, custom hardware, or building materials, we match your products with a manufacturer who can deliver both craftmanship and consistency while handling all the communication along the way.

3. Product Details

In this stage, we nail down product details through a thorough and collaborative process- starting with your inspiration and functional needs, then refining materials, dimensions, and custom features. Every element is carefully reviewed with the manufacturer, supported by sketches, reference images, and samples to ensure precision. Due to time differences, this in-depth communication generally happens in the late hours, but is necessary. The result: a product that reflects your vision, meets our standards, and is ready for seamless production.

4. Product Invoice Approval

Before moving into production, the manufacturer provides a detail product cut sheet with broken down costs (including shipping fees) for approval and deposit- outlining key specifications such as dimensions, materials, finishes, and installation requirements. This step ensures complete clarity between client, designer, and manufacturer. We review every detail together to confirm accuracy and alignment with the design intent. Once approved, the cut sheet becomes the reference point for manufacturing and ordering, minimizing errors and ensuring a smooth process.

5. Production

Once the order is in production, we closely monitor timelines and quality control. While the products are being made, we stay in direct communication with the manufacturer to ensure every detail is executed as specified. When production is complete, we receive detailed images and videos of the finished items for final approval before packing in crates. Only after we sign off does packaging and international shipping begin- ensuring confidence and peace of mind every step of the way.

6. Receiving

Your products will be delivered directly yo your doorstep via freight or curbside delivery. Please note that this service does NOT include unloading, unpacking, or relocation inside the home. It is the homeowners responsibility to: remove items from delivery truck, uncrate and inspect the goods, dispose of packing materials, and relocate the products to desired location. We recommend having extra hands on-site and the proper tools ready on delivery day, especially for heavy or fragile items. If white-glove delivery or inside placement is preferred, contact a local moving company for assistance.
